As wait for Palworld 1.0 has fans in frenzy, lead says don't expect any "sudden announcement on Discord" as "it's a bit too big of a moment"

Palworld is shaping up to have quite the full release out of early access, with Pocketpair still working on readying 1.0 for its big launch sometime this year – and, unsurprisingly, fans are as hungry as ever to learn more about it.

In case you're out of the loop, last year, Pocketpair announced that Palworld 1.0 was coming in 2026, dropping little teasers here and there about the long-awaited full launch – but not enough to sate the community, of course. Folks have been sharing their growing frustrations at not having their hands on 1.0 – which I get, as an excited fan myself – but it's safe to say we probably won't hear anything about it soon… at least, not in a random Discord announcement.

As global community manager and Pocketpair Publishing lead John "Bucky" Buckley writes in response to one player who jokes that they "don't want to see another notification from the Palworld Discord until 1.0 has a release date," the survival game's upcoming official release is simply too massive to just casually unveil in a forum like that.

"Well, the next notification won't be about 1.0 either, I'm afraid," Bucky begins, going on to explain as much.

"You should just assume that Palworld 1.0 isn't going to be a sudden announcement on Discord in general tbh… it's a bit too big of a moment for something like that!"

Honestly, as sad as it is to read, I suppose the lead does have a point here. Nobody knows when 1.0 will finally arrive. Pocketpair previously said 1.0 is "still in the oven" for now, although with a teaser that the studio will "crack the oven open a little when it's nearly done."

So, it comes as no surprise that people are on the edge of their seats waiting for a bit of a crack in the oven, so to speak. Heck, at the start of the year, we saw impatient fans spamming the indie publishing arm of Pocketpair with messages like "hurry up with Palworld 1.0" – and it's been a while since then.

The community wants more Palworld, I suppose, and they want it now… but I'm thinking we've still got a little while to wait.

Regardless of when it does come, though, it seems it's safe to say that we won't find out in a throwaway message on Discord. Bucky didn't say anything about other social media channels, however, so I'll be keeping my eyes peeled throughout 2026 until we get something.
