Ghost of Yotei New Game Plus mode has been confirmed, and it's part of a free update that's coming very soon. Ghost of Yotei New Game Plus will be available from November 24, 2025, following a free patch to update the game to version v. 1.100.000. This will add a New Game+ option to the main menu, which will become accessible one you've completed the main story.

The main feature of New Game Plus in Ghost of Yotei is that you can restart the campaign from the beginning while retaining everything you've earned previously, including all of the Ghost of Yotei skills and abilities you've unlocked and the Ghost of Yotei weapons gathered on your travels. To add balance to this obvious advantage, there will be several harder difficulty options added along with two additional Trophies to earn.

New Game Plus will also add a fresh currency called Ghost Flowers to collect, which can be spent with a new vendor named Masujiro The Melodious. This mysterious merchant will sell you over 30 new cosmetics including armor sets and weapon dyes, plus more than 10 new charms to equip. An extra tier of upgrades for armor sets and weapons will be available, so you can increase their effects further and become even more powerful.

Other improvements with this update beyond New Game Plus include the ability to replay post-game challenges with stat tracking and displays, fresh accessibility options such a directional button remapping, and a big refresh of Photo Mode features adding shutter speed and a composition grid alongside a selection of new filters. All in all, there's plenty to keep players busy until the Ghost of Yotei Legends DLC drops in 2026.
