Crimson Desert was already a massive game at launch. It then had a massive roadmap promising to make it even bigger. And, now, developer Pearl Abyss is gearing up for yet another patch with all the energy of a Mentos dropping into a bottle of Coke.
"Hello Greymanes," the developer tweets for the 1748th time since launch. "We'd like to share some info about the schedule and major update content of our next patch." There's no concrete release date for this upcoming update, but it should be arriving sometime within the next few days.
As for what's included, the Crimson Desert studio promises "new special mounts, an extraction feature that will allow you to recover materials used in equipment refinement, and more." Pearl Abyss has been known to hide some changes from its patch notes, so don't be surprised if we get a little extra.

For context, Pearl Abyss only freshly mopped up the vast majority of what it set out to do in its three-month roadmap in mere weeks. The developer essentially did a game dev speedrun to add boss rematches and enemy re-blockades, extra difficulty modes, toggles to hide weapons, more storage options, and much more.
Since Crimson Desert's initial roadmap was set to last until sometime in June, everything added from here on out is largely unknown territory. Previous patch notes have said certain features are still a work in progress, so expect to see tweaks to things like those enemy re-blockades.
Pearl Abyss' PR lead recently explained the studio didn't have a concrete roadmap with set-in-stone dates attached because the devs wanted to listen to what Crimson Desert players had to say first, without acting on any presumptions. It's entirely possible that thought process will simply extend to all future post-launch updates with fan feedback largely steering the ship.
I imagine New Game Plus will likely be on the menu at some point, alongside even more bosses, enemies, armor kits, pets, mounts, and the like. Having sold over five million copies already, it wouldn't be too shocking to see an expansion or maybe, eventually, a sequel somewhere down the line.
