Best Buy has just unleashed a Square Enix game sale, and my free time is cooked
These Switch, PS5, and Xbox game deals are worth a fanfare
We're well into 2026 now that February is underway, and yet I've been racking my brain with what Switch 2, PS5, or Xbox Series X game should be taking up all my attention. Best Buy has made that decision a bit easier after dropping up to $25 off select Square Enix games, so now all I need to do is find the free time.
It's not just your typical Final Fantasy titles which are discounted today (though they're definitely there), but you can grab Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake for $49.99 (Best Buy) on the Switch 2, and for the same price on the original Switch if you aren't fond of game-key cards. PS5 players can stick with the classics instead and pick up Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles, which has returned to $39.99 at Best Buy, its lowest ever price so far.
Best Buy has dropped the prices on multiple games on different platforms, so I've been sure to include those where I can down below. That way, no matter your platform of choice, you can grab these Square Enix games and sink in as much free time as your life can handle.

Final Fantasy 16 (PS5) | $29.99 $20.99 at Best Buy
Save $9 -Final Fantasy 16 is pretty prone to discounts even without any big sales event around, so I wasn't surprised to see it included with the rest of these Square Enix game sales. It's $9 off its usual $29.99 price point, which isn't the cheapest I've spotted it over the years, but there's only $5 seperating it from its price I spotted over last year's Black Friday.

Save $10 - Fans of Square Enix's Mana series can grab the latest game in the series for $10 off on Xbox. There is over $10 seperating it and its lowest ever price, but it does have the tendency to bounce up to $35, so any deal under that $30 spot is worth making a fuss over.

Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
