And the most wanted new league in FIFA 17 is the Turkish 2nd Division (?!)

Turkey's second division, featuring such illustrious sides as Kardemir Karabukspor and 1461 Trabzon, is the new league fans want most in FIFA 17 according to results of an independent fan poll.

Known commercially as PTT 1. Lig, its inclusion would have Turkish fans rejoicing for the second time in three years. The country's top division, commonly styled as the Super Lig, first featured in FIFA 15 and is now home to former Premier League stars Robin van Persie and Nani at Fenerbahce, and 120-cap Dutch international Wesley Sneijder at Galatasaray.

Carried out by FIFPlay, the survey has been live since September of last year and amassed an incredible 2.1 million votes. Despite that vast field, just 39 individual votes separate Turkey in top spot with the Isreali Ligat Ha'al, home to two-time Asian Champions League winners Maccabi Tel Aviv. Each share 18% of the total vote.

Germany's 3. Liga places third in the poll with 13%, followed by Hungary's OTP Bank Liga and Spain's Segunda Division B with 4% apiece.

Closer to home there's no good news for the likes of Barry Town or Dover Athletic. The Welsh First Division languishes in 35th place with 1% of the vote, while England's fifth tier National League is even less wanted down in 41st.

That's still better than the Lithuanian A Lyga, which ranks 75th out of 75 with a paltry 61 of those 2.1million votes.

FIFA 17 is expected on multiple formats this autumn.

I'm GamesRadar's sports editor, and obsessed with NFL, WWE, MLB, AEW, and occasionally things that don't have a three-letter acronym – such as Chvrches, Bill Bryson, and Streets Of Rage 4. (All the Streets Of Rage games, actually.) Even after three decades I still have a soft spot for Euro Boss on the Amstrad CPC 464+.
