Black Friday Meta Quest deals 2024 - what to expect for this November
Black Friday Meta Quest deals could be big this year thanks to the Meta Quest 3
Black Friday Meta Quest deals could be huge in 2024 since the event will be just over a year on from the Meta Quest 3's launch. We could be talking bundles, the first major price drops, or more Meta Quest+ offers. The Quest 3 is proving to be very popular already, so Meta will absolutely want to capitalize on that when it comes to 2024's deals season.
It's sure to be an interesting year for VR. Apple Vision Pro is launching, and although it's a trendsetter, it'll be interesting to see how much of a mark it really makes with such a luxury price tag. It'll also be intriguing to see just how much gaming emphasis the platform is given, as this is currently why the Quest 3 is a better option for a lot of shoppers. The Quest 3's library of games is only getting larger, and by November we'll probably see plenty of games that could be offered up in a bundle, or go on sale on the Quest store.
Black Friday gaming deals will approach quicker than you'd think, so if you want a deal on one of the best VR headsets, it's best to plan long-term so you know how much to save throughout the year. We've rounded up our expectations and the most frequently asked questions down below so you can do just that. We've covered Meta Quest deals for a long time now, and although there are surprises every year, we know from experience what sorts of things to expect.

What to expect from Black Friday Meta Quest deals in 2024
2023 was an exciting year for VR. We kicked things off with PSVR2, got our hands on the Meta Quest 3, and gradually declined prices for the Quest 2. All the while, the Quest Pro died a slow and painful death, and despite Meta continuing to service it with updates, it's highly unlikely we'll see it take on any sales emphasis going forward. All that, and Apple Vision Pro stole so much of the mainstream limelight.
In 2024, that wave of mainstream attention is bound to continue. For the most part, Meta Quest 3's success is expected to carry on, but a lot will hinge on the reception of the Vision Pro. Should Apple somehow manage to sell lots of units despite the 3.5 grand price tag, the Quest 3 may become the second choice in the market. Moreover, we have rumors of a Samsung headset that will use an even faster Qualcomm processor than Quest 3's.
Of course, Meta's ace in the hole is its awesome library of games and pre-existing apps. There's no uphill battle to attract gamers for Meta, which Samsung and Apple will both need to struggle with when their headsets hit the shelves.
We'd expect that to stifle competition, Meta will introduce some bundles and discounts to the Quest 3 during Prime Day sales in 2024, and ideally, these will come to a boiling point once we reach Black Friday. In the past, we've seen the Quest 2 get $50 discounts, and get free games lumped into a purchase. This year, we could see Meta Quest+ subscriptions since the company will want to push its online service as a perk that rival headsets don't have.
It'll be interesting to see how the Meta Quest 2's price drops from here on out. As always, third-party accessories for every Quest headset are guaranteed to get cheaper during Black Friday.
Is the Meta Quest 2 still worth it?
The 256GB Meta Quest 2 is bound to get cheaper throughout 2024. For us, it is still worth it because its features and specs hold up, especially if you've never had a VR headset before and you want to dip your toes in the water. The Quest 2 is now in rarified air - it's a budget VR headset with an incredible games library - as it gets cheaper, that's only going to get more appealing to more players.
Of course, that all depends on what specs you're looking for. If you want the latest and greatest features, those new spatial computing headsets are going to be the ones for you this year. If you're alright with being slightly behind on innards, the Quest 2 is still more than viable.
Last year's Black Friday Meta Quest deals in the US
Meta Quest 2 (128GB) | Logitech Chorus Off-Ear Integrated Audio | $399.98 $299.98 at Best Buy
Save $100 - You could save $100 on the Quest 2 if you grabbed it with the Logitech Chorus audio solution at Best Buy. Normally $399 together, Best Buy took $50 off the price, dropping it down to just $299.98.
Meta Quest 3 512GB + Asgard's Wrath 2 + $25 Meta Quest gift voucher and 6 months of Meta Quest+ | $649.99 at Newegg
Quest 3 orders of the larger 512GB model were also available with a gift voucher from Newegg, this time with $25 as opposed to $15. That was as well as your free copy of Asgard's Wrath 2 and 6 months of Meta Quest+ thanks to the launch window.
Syntech Link Cable 16FT | $25.99 $16.99 at Amazon
Save $9 - This is an alternative to grabbing an elite strap with an extra battery back. For under $20, you got 16ft of leash to run with. It technically went up in price after October's Prime Day, but there was still an offer to check the 5% coupon box and get it for the same price as it was during that event.
Kueject 3 in 1 Accessory Set for Quest 3 | $59.99 $34.99 at Amazon
Save $25 - In this little accessory bundle for Quest 3, you got a headstrap which looks to take a lot of the pressure off the sides of your head, a facial interface, and a face cover for the headset itself. This was another Prime Exclusive deal during Black Friday, so remember to take out those free trials next year if you aren't covered.
Syntech Hard Carrying Case for Quest 2 & 3 | $29.99 $20.99 at Amazon
Save $8 - This hard carrying case from Syntech will fit a Quest 2, or the Quest 3, and it was available for $8 cheaper at Amazon. We did see it discounted further for Prime Day though, so those events might be the best to prepare for in future.
Last year's best Meta Quest deals in the UK
Meta Quest 3 512GB + Asgard's Wrath 2 + Meta Quest+ | £649.99 at Amazon
The Larger 512GB model of the Meta Quest 3 shipped with a code for Asgard's Wrath 2, and a six-month free subscription to Meta Quest+, which helps bolster your library of titles. There was no discount here, but that bundle was strong enough for it to get a mention.
Meta Quest Pro | £999.99 £730 at Amazon
Save £270 - We wouldn't necessarily recommend the Quest Pro, especially now that the Quest 3 is out. But, if this swanky yet slightly terrifying bit of hardware is for you, then this offer was up for grabs.
Meta Quest 2 (256GB) + Elite Strap | £559.98 £308.44 at Amazon
Save £215 - In this bundle at Amazon, you got the beefier 256GB model of the Quest 2 with the official elite head strap. Together, the two would usually set you back a listed price of £559.98, but with a 38% saving here (which was only 32% last week), you got it for comfortably under £400.
Meta Quest 2 (256GB) + Carrying Case | £559.98 £358.98 at Amazon
Save £200 - Dropping to a brand new low price, the larger 256GB Meta Quest 2 along with a handy carrying case was a great way to kick off your VR career. There was a saving of over £200 (formerly 150) to be had here, which was great if you weren't interested in the Quest 3.

Ever since playing Journey at the age of 15, I’ve been desperate to cover video games for a living. After graduating from Edinburgh Napier University with a degree in Journalism, I contributed to the Scottish Games Network and completed an Editorial Internship over at Expert Reviews. Besides that, I’ve been managing my own YouTube channel and Podcast for the last 7 years. It’s been a long road, but all that experience somehow landed me a dream job covering gaming hardware. I’m a self-confessing PlayStation fanboy, but my experience covering the larger business and developer side of the whole industry has given me a strong knowledge of all platforms. When I’m not testing out every peripheral I can get my hands on, I’m probably either playing tennis or dissecting game design for an upcoming video essay. Now, I better stop myself here before I get talking about my favourite games like HUNT: Showdown, Dishonored, and Towerfall Ascension.
