PSA: New 3DS firmware update now available, adds folders and patch support

Looking to bring a little order to your 3DS? Nintendo has delivered the latest firmware update for its three-dimensional handheld adding, among other things, the ability for players to sort up to 60 icons into individual folders.

Lastly, today's update brings some minor redesigns to the 3DS eShop and gives European 3DS owners access to the Nintendo Zone.

For newbie 3DS'ers (or those who simply forgot), firmware updates are presented as automatic prompts, provided you're connected to wi-fi. Failing that, users can kick-start the download by heading into the 3DS's "System Settings", clicking “Other Settings” and tapping “System Update”.
