Painkiller: Hell & Damnation - watch us play local co-op on Xbox 360

Painkiller: Hell & Damnation is heading to Xbox 360 and PS3 on May 31 (EDIT: Not April 5 as we initially reported - it's slipped slightly), after already appearing on PC last October. With a near-finished copy of the game in our possession, we put the game through its paces in local co-op mode aqnd recorded the results for your eyes and ears to enjoy. On the video, you'll hear Associate Editors Justin Towell (that's me, playing on the right) and Dave Houghton playing through the first level... or as much as we could before being defeated by the onslaught and proper old-school difficulty level.

Our verdict at this stage? A tad dated both in its aesthetics and its gameplay mechanics, but there's no denying the core gameplay is simply a lot of fun. Even if Dave does keep dying and leaving me alone to fight the hoard.
