Fans of the Twisted Metal franchise know that the white-knuckle, adrenaline-pumping action is only a small portion of the formula. The twisted characters are a big part of the experience, each with their own motives and disturbing histories. As promised in yesterday’s post by David Jaffe, a new trailer has been released for the upcoming PlayStation 3 iteration of the game that lifts the curtain on Dollface, the misfit ex-model that we fell in love with in Twisted Metal Black.
The more we see of Twisted Metal, the less upset we are about the delay. It’s not that it looks bad—far from it, it looks fantastic, and we’d rather the developer take a few extra months to make sure it’s everything we’ve ever dreamed of. We’re already brainstorming excuses to tell our significant others as to why we can’t go out to a fancy dinner on the game’s February 14 release date. Some might be cool with the truth, but not everyone’s boyfriend/girlfriend will be happy with, “But sweetie, I need to drive around in an Ice Cream Truck and blow up cars!”
