Marvel confirms Guardians Of The Galaxy and Ant-Man at Comic-Con

It was one of the worst-kept secrets relating to this year's Comic-Con , but Marvel have confirmed that Guardians Of The Galaxy is getting the movie treatment.

Comprising an assortment of heroes from various planets, the Guardians are something of a supergroup. They've had comic-book links to the Avengers in the past, so we're very much expecting this film to tie in with The Avengers 2 (especially given the intergalactic enemies that featured in The Avengers ).

Marvel also released some concept art for Guardians by Charlie Wen. It establishes that this'll be an extremely ambitious project, and it will have to walk a fine line to avoid being another CGI mess like Green Lantern .

Ant-Man wasn't given an official release date, but Edgar Wright's test footage was revealed, and it was given an official logo (see below).

On top of that, Thor 2 and Captain America 2 were given official titles, which are Thor: The Dark World , and Captain America: The Winter Soldier .

Check out the whole bunch of Marvel's official logos below:

Iron Man 3 opens on 26 April 2013, Thor: The Dark World opens on 8 November 2013, Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens on 4 April 2014, and Guardians Of The Galaxy opens on 1 August 2014.
