Emmy 2017 noms for Westworld, Eleven and… Barb? Yes, everyone else is confused too

It’s that time of year where the cream of the crop of the previous year’s television is recognised as the 2017 Emmy nominations roll in. This year, Westworld led the way with 22 nominations – tied with Saturday Night Live - as Stranger Things’Millie Bobbie Brown was the youngest individual nominee at 13-years old.

Not only did Stranger Things pick up 18 nominations, they also got a nod for outstanding guest actress in a drama series as Barb herself, Shannon Purser, was among the nominees. I love Barb to bits but, come on, she was in it for a cup of coffee – and I’m not the only one scratching my head. Look, I have tweets to prove it!

I'm the Senior Entertainment Writer here at GamesRadar+, focusing on news, features, and interviews with some of the biggest names in film and TV. On-site, you'll find me marveling at Marvel and providing analysis and room temperature takes on the newest films, Star Wars and, of course, anime. Outside of GR, I love getting lost in a good 100-hour JRPG, Warzone, and kicking back on the (virtual) field with Football Manager. My work has also been featured in OPM, FourFourTwo, and Game Revolution.
