Don Johnson has signed up for Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, but it took a hell of a lot of persuading.
Despite the fact Johnson’s already played a racist in Robert Rodriguez’s Machete , Don considered Unchained ’s Spencer Bennett even more irredeemable and was wary of taking on the role.
Which is fair enough – Bennett is a rich plantation owner who forces his slaves into prostitution. Not exactly the sort of man you'd want to be associated with for the rest of your life.
But unless Don changes his mind ( as Kevin Costner seemed to last month ) he’ll join what’s shaping up to be an incredible cast, who will be delivering what's arguably Tarantino's best script.
Which, when you consider the fact Don's last film was Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star, will make a very nice change.
