1. How to sign up

If you're looking for the Disney Plus sign-up deals that'll provide maximum value for money, you're in luck. We've rounded up the best offers on the streaming service here. For example, readers in the US can currently enjoy a bundle that provides access to Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Plus for just $12.99 per month. That's almost $5 cheaper than getting each one separately, and it's the same cost of a Standard HD month of Netflix for triple the amount of content.

No matter which offer you've got your eye on, it's exactly what everyone needs right now. Disney is the very definition of a pick-me-up, and its streaming service isn't any different. That makes a Disney Plus sign-up the perfect way to chase off those blues. Considering everything that's happening in the world, being able to catch up with old favorites or watch Soul (the brand-new Pixar movie) at our leisure wouldn't go amiss. We've also got The Mandalorian season 2 to enjoy as well, not to mention various other exclusive shows (speaking of which, we're able to catch up with the MCU and watch WandaVision right now).

Suffice to say, there's more than enough to keep us busy. As we pointed out in our Disney Plus review, the streaming service is packed with hundreds of hours of content across a variety of genres. That library ranges from classic movies to 30 seasons of The Simpsons, not to mention Star Wars films, live-action shows, and a load of Marvel flicks. Because every Disney Plus membership also streams in 4K and HDR as standard, that's plenty of value for your money.

That's true even in light of the soon-to-be increasing Disney Plus sign-up prices. More specifically, the Disney Plus price increase sees the cost in the US going up to $7.99 per month (or $79.99 for a full year) from March 2021. As for the UK, new subscribers will need to pay $7.99p/m or $79.90 for a year as of now, while existing UK, Canadian, and Australian members can enjoy the old rates until August 23. Because we'll be receiving even more content to go with the increase - Disney Plus is adding dozens of new shows and movies, including R-rated content - that's not too much of a blow. There's even going to be 10 Marvel and 10 Star Wars series in the next few years, to say nothing of Raya and the Last Dragon launching simultaneously on Disney Plus and in theatres.

If your country doesn't have Disney Plus yet, fear not - you'll be able to get involved before long thanks to the company's plans to roll out this service globally. In the meantime, you can always fill that Disney-shaped void with the excellent Hocus Pocus board game, Disney Villainous, or Disney's The Haunted Mansion board game. They're great gifts for yourself or the Disney fan in your life.

Now that's out of the way, here's everything you need to know about Disney Plus sign-ups.

How to get a Disney Plus sign-up

Good news, everyone - getting a Disney Plus sign-up is easy. In fact, all you need to do is visit the Disney Plus website or install the app and follow the on-screen instructions. Once you've chosen your membership and inputted payment details, you can be watching everything Disney Plus has to offer. The whole process takes just a few minutes.

No matter where you sign up - and because we no longer have access to a Disney Plus free trial - you'll be faced with two options:

  • Pay monthly: This is the standard subscription model for Disney Plus. You pay a small fee each month for a membership, and this keeps rolling until you cancel or the world stops turning. To be honest, it's a bargain regardless of where you are in the world. What's more, you're not locked in to a long contract - you can cancel whenever you like.
  • 1 year membership: Alternatively, you can sign up for a full year of Disney Plus with a one-off fee. Regardless of where you are in the world, this usually saves you the cost of around two months compared to paying for the service month-by-month. For example, the US annual sub is $14 less expensive than paying for a membership monthly.

Want to try Disney Plus without fully committing? We'd recommend grabbing a single month's membership and cancelling before those four weeks are up. That means you can fill your boots with as much Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Fox, Star Wars, and National Geographic content as you can stomach without paying too much.

Even if you do jump ship once the Holiday Season is over, you'll still be able to take advantage of watching Soul, the live-action Mulan remake, two seasons of The Mandalorian, and more.

Other deals

If you're looking to get more bang for buck, there are a couple of options to consider. Although these vary depending on where you live, most are pretty good offers. You'll find them all listed below.

Because none of these deals have an expiry date, you don't need to worry about missing out either. However, do bear in mind that the cost of a Disney Plus sign-up will be increasing ever so slightly during spring of 2021. In other words, picking up an offer now may save you money in the long run. In the US, you have until March to take advantage of the current, lower prices. In the UK, new subscribers will have to pay more from late February onward (existing UK users don't need to pay more until August, though).

For more deals, check out our guide to the best Disney Plus bundles.

  • Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Plus (US only): Readers in the US can pick up all three services for one low price - it's just $12.99 per month. Because Hulu offers more mature dramas and ESPN has all the sports you could want, it covers all the bases for the whole family.
  • Disney Plus, Hulu (no ads), ESPN Plus (US only): If you'd rather avoid those annoying ads on Hulu, this the bundle to get. Besides offering you Disney Plus and ESPN Plus for all your family-friendly and sporting needs, you're getting a much more enjoyable Hulu experience thanks to the lack of interruptions (the more popular the show, the more ads you get). In addition, this is all $18.99 per month - just six bucks more than the normal bundle listed above.
  • Disney Plus Gift Subscription card (US & UK): Give the gift of Disney Plus with this gift card. It's delivered digitally, meaning you can have it arrive with whoever you want, whenever you want. Perfect for anyone who's left their present buying a bit late.
  • FREE 6-month Disney Plus sub with Verizon plans (US only): Want to upgrade your data plan? If you go with Verizon, you'll get a free year of Disney Plus for your trouble. Yes please and thank you very much. That's great news if you wanted to upgrade your data plan anyway, especially because you're getting away without paying the Disney Plus price.
  • FREE 6-month Disney Plus pass with O2 (UK only): In the market for a new phone, contract, or SIM-only deal? This is the package you want. Besides the above, O2 also has an offer that gets your half a year of Disney Plus for free. That's worth almost £36, so being able to avoid the Disney Plus price altogether for six months is handy indeed.

Disney Plus price

The thought of investing in yet another streaming service can strike fear into the heart of the bravest soul. Fortunately for us, the Disney Plus price is… surprisingly low, actually. In fact, the average cost of Disney Plus comes in below a Standard HD month of Netflix.

That's cracking value for money, especially considering how much content is waiting for you on there. Indeed, the new streaming service is packed with hundreds of movies, documentaries, and TV shows like Star Wars live-action series The Mandalorian, not to mention every episode of The Simpsons. Countless hours of content are waiting for you as a result, and that's a welcome distraction in uncertain times like these. In other words? The Disney Plus price is a solid investment no matter where you are in the world.

Although the Disney Plus cost will vary from region to region, it's still very competitive no matter where in the world you are. To save you time, we've listed the price of Disney Plus across the globe below.

As we mentioned before, remember that these costs will be changing very soon - March in the US and February in the UK (for new subscribers, at least. Existing UK members won't see a change until August).

Disney Plus price - US

Disney Plus (monthly) | $6.99 per month
A bog-standard month of Disney Plus weighs in at just $6.99p/m in the United States right now. Considering how much content you're getting for your money, that's pretty reasonable. All subscribers will find Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, Pixar, National Geographic, The Simpsons, and more at their fingertips. It's currently the cheapest deal on offer, and we've yet to see anything less.

Disney Plus (one year) | $69.99 one-off payment
If you think you'll be watching a lot of Disney Plus over the next year or are keen to see those new Marvel shows on day one, the full 12-month membership is the way to go. It cuts the Disney Plus price by $14 - or two full months - compared to paying for a subscription month by month. That's a considerable saving.

Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Plus package | $12.99 per month
For our money, this is comfortably the best Disney Plus deal. The bundle gets you three services for the cost of a single month of Standard HD Netflix, and that makes it an absolute steal. Besides the family-friendly Disney Plus, the addition of mature dramas via Hulu and the wealth of sports provided by ESPN Plus makes it ideal for the whole family. This triple-threat of content is also giving you one of those services for free; the overall cost would be closer to $20 if you were buying them all separately.

Disney Plus+ Hulu (no ads) + ESPN Plus | $18.99 per month
This version of the bundle is the same as the one listed above, but there's one key difference - you won't get any ads on Hulu. Because these can interrupt whatever you're watching with irritating regularity, that's no bad thing. Paying the extra six bucks to get rid of them is definitely worthwhile.

1-year Disney Plus gift card | $69.99 at Disney Plus
Want to give Disney Plus to someone else? The Disney Plus Gift Subscription card is ideal. A digital voucher that offers a full year of the service to the lucky recipient, it can be delivered whenever you want and to any email address you choose. That makes it perfect as a last-minute gift. What's more, you save $14 on the Disney Plus cost compared to paying month by month. However, do bear in mind that it can only be redeemed by new subscribers. If they already have a Disney Plus account, they cannot use the gift card.

Disney Plus price - Canada

Disney Plus (monthly) | $11.99 per month
How much does Disney Plus cost in Canada? Not as much as we'd feared, luckily - the Disney Plus price is $12 per month. There's an awful lot of content available here for that, so it's pretty cracking value all things considered.

Disney Plus (one year) | $119.99 one-off payment
If you're going to be watching a lot of Disney Plus over the next few months (what with a new season of The Mandalorian and Marvel shows like Falcon and the Winter Soldier on the way), then this is the deal to go for. It gets you a full year of the streaming service at a discount, allowing you to save around $16 on the standard monthly Disney Plus price.

Disney Plus price - UK

Disney Plus (monthly) | £7.99 per month
The cheapest Disney Plus price right now is this standard £8 monthly subscription. It gives you access to everything the service has to offer, and you can cancel or re-subscribe at any time. Because its library contains hundreds of TV shows, films, and documentaries, there's plenty here to get your teeth into.

Disney Plus (one year) | £79.90 one-off payment
If you think you're going to get a lot of use out of Disney Plus, you can pick up a 12-month membership for £80. That's roughly £16 cheaper than paying month-by-month, and you're essentially getting two months for free. A bargain, in other words.

Disney Plus gift card (1 year) | £79.90 at Disney Plus
If you're looking for a good present to give the Disney fan in your life, this gift card is ideal. It's delivered to any email address you like, and at any time you want. That means it's a good choice if you've left your shopping a little late. However, bear in mind that it can only be redeemed by new subscribers. That means anyone who already has Disney Plus won't be able to activate the gift.

Disney Plus price - Australia

Disney Plus (monthly) | $11.99 per month
A normal month of Disney Plus is available for only $12 in Australia. That's not bad at all, especially considering the many hundreds of hours of content you're getting with this offer.

Disney Plus (one year) | $119.99 one-off payment
A full year of Disney Plus is great value for money, particularly because it saves you two months' worth of cash on the standard monthly Disney Plus price (the same is true of either Australia or New Zealand). If you know you're going to be watching for long-haul, this is the deal to choose.
