Da Vinci's Demons Awarded Second Season Already!

In a refreshing reversal from the norm of late, Da Vinci’s Demons wasn’t cancelled in the States before we’d even seen one episode over here. Instead, it’s been awarded a second season before we’ve even seen one episode over here. Huzzah!

The new show, created by David S Goyer (the Dark Knight trilogy, Man Of Steel ) and executive produced by Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner (who were instrumental in getting Doctor Who back on the air) achieved record breaking audience figures on its debut last weekend on Starz. Resultingly, the broadcaster immediately gave the green light to a second season after just one episode had aired.

More than 2.14 million total viewers tuned in to the debut episode of Da Vinci's Demons , making it the highest-rated premiere weekend ever for a Starz original series.

So, it’s safe to start watching it this Friday. It won’t end on a cliffhanger that’ll never be resolved. Well, this year, at least…
