Naruto is the new Dragon Ball. With 10 million copies of games based on the popular anime and manga series shipped worldwide since 2003, developer CyberConnect2 and publisher Namco Bandai Games are celebrating good (and profitable) times.
According to an announcement made by Namco Bandai, CyberConnect2 president Hiroshi Matsuyama is so pumped, that he plans to run the Marathon de Paris while dressed as the world’s most unpredictable ninja. We like the idea of the president of a large development studio running through Paris while cosplaying as Naruto. It's certainly one of the most bizarre promotional stunts we've heard of. Hopefully, Matsuyama will make sure to hold his arms back while running the marathon like all popular anime protagonists in a big hurry.
Also announced by Namco Bandai, are plans for a collaboration between the Naruto Shippuden game series and the trading card game, with more details expected when Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations ships on March 13, 2012.
