Ant-Man has added another name to its growing ensemble, with Deadline reporting that Matt Gerald has joined the cast to play a villainous character.
If you find yourself recognising his face, it’s because Gerald was recently seen in the Marvel one-shot Hail To The King , in which he played a prison bruiser named White Power Dave.
Whether or not he will be reprising the same role remains to be seen, but it has been noted online that occasional Ant-Man antagonist, Whirlwind, is also named Dave Cannon…
In any case, we’d suggest that Gerald will be playing a secondary villain, with a bigger name likely to be lined up for the film’s primary antagonist.
Directed by Edgar Wright and co-starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly, Ant-Man will open in the UK on 17 July 2015.
