As we all know by now, death isn’t exactly a permanent fate on Game of Thrones but, even then, there are some characters you expect to shuffle off their mortal coil and never, ever return. Game of Thrones season 7, though, may see the return of someone who had seemingly met a very permanent end. (Spoilers follow. Obviously)
The end of Game of Thrones season 6 saw Arya Stark finally get revenge on Walder Frey for the Red Wedding by feeding him a son-filled pie and cutting his throat. However, according to Watchers on the Wall, the actor who plays Walder Frey, David Bradley, will be making a comeback.
It’s unlikely that Melisandre will rock up and revive the ghastly Walder Frey like she did with Jon Snow, but it is likely that Arya will show off more of her faceless tricks by taking on the role of Walder Frey.
She’ll surely want to get close to anyone else who played a part in the deaths of Arya’s mother and brother – not to mention her future sister-in-law and unborn child. But the big question remains: who will she face off with next?
Hell hath no fury like an Arya scorned.
Game of Thrones season 7 will debut on HBO this summer.

I'm the Senior Entertainment Writer here at GamesRadar+, focusing on news, features, and interviews with some of the biggest names in film and TV. On-site, you'll find me marveling at Marvel and providing analysis and room temperature takes on the newest films, Star Wars and, of course, anime. Outside of GR, I love getting lost in a good 100-hour JRPG, Warzone, and kicking back on the (virtual) field with Football Manager. My work has also been featured in OPM, FourFourTwo, and Game Revolution.
