69 Most Immature Movies

Caddyshack (1980)

The Immature Movie: Harold Ramis’ debut movie might be thin on plot, but it more than makes up for that with the sheer volume of clowning on display! Rodney Dangerfield supplies the gags whilst Bill Murray plays the idiot…

Crudest Moment: Dangerfield drops a dinner-table fart, quipping, “woah, somebody step on a duck?”

Mental Age: 12. Not particularly big, or indeed clever, but very very funny.

Grown Ups (2010)

The Immature Movie: An immature movie about immature men, Grown Ups follows Adam Sandler and friends David Spade, Rob Schneider, Chris Rock and Kevin James as they simultaneously undergo midlife crises. Smug, half-assed tripe.

Crudest Moment: Rob Schneider “hilariously” tonguing a wizened old dear. For God’s sake man, have some pride.

Mental Age: Pre-school humour meets the sort of oily self-satisfaction that only comes with middle-age.

Anchorman (2004)

The Immature Movie: Will Ferrell seals his place on the comedy A-list with this gloriously stupid tale of loud suits and even louder sexism. Stay classy, eh chaps?

Crudest Moment: Ron aims an on-air outburst at co-anchor Christina Applegate: “You are a smelly pirate hooker…why don’t you go back to your home on Whore Island.” And that lands him in trouble? It’s political correctness gone mad!

Mental Age:
Smarter than most on this list, Anchorman still boasts an infantile streak a mile wide.

Old School (2003)

The Immature Movie: Todd Phillips follows up Road Trip with this hilarious tale of men who refuse to grow up. Luke Wilson takes the lead as put-upon everyman Mitch, but its Vince Vaughan and Will Ferrell who steal the show as his buffoonish mates. “You’re my boy, Blue!”

Crudest Moment:
When one of the recruits takes a header off a tall building, having been yanked off the edge by a breeze block attached to his groin…

Mental Age:
If Road Trip was for people looking forward to college, this one is aimed at the thirtysomethings who wish they could go back!

Road Trip (2000)

The Immature Movie: Proving that cross-country capers needn’t be brain-dead laughter vacuums, Todd Phillips’ superior teen comedy supplies the usual gross-out antics whilst keeping the laughs coming with a snappy, sweary script.

Crudest Moment: When Stifler, sorry, “E.L.” visits the sperm bank and gets more than he bargained for from the attendant nurse.

Mental Age:
15-21. This is basically an advert for the debauched fun on offer at University!

Bubble Boy (2001)

The Immature Movie: A young Jake Gyllenhaal stars as the titular scamp, a boy whose immune system is so weak, exposure to a single germ could kill him. As a result, he lives in a giant plastic bubble. You’d think his condition would be enough to discourage him from embarking upon a madcap road-trip, but this sadly isn’t the case…

Crudest Moment:
The squawking Chinese strip-club owner is offensive on a number of levels.

Mental Age:
Chronically offensive, only a child could get away with some of the stereotypes on show here!

Scooby-Doo (2002)

The Immature Movie: A live-action adaptation of the classic cartoon caper, in which the scariest thing on show is the woefully shoddy CGI used to bring Scooby to life. Yoinks!

Crudest Moment:
An inter-species farting competition that seems to go on for an age!

Mental Age:
7. Look at the silly doggy! He talks like people!

Kingpin (1996)

The Immature Movie: Woody Harrelson, Randy Quaid and Bill Murray serve up a bumper-sized portion of puerile humour in this daft sporting comedy. Stupid it might be, but it’s delivered with such aplomb that it’s hard not to warm to it.

Crudest Moment:
Woody helps himself to a bucket full of bull semen. Mmmm, lovely.

Mental Age: 16. The prime age for wilfully immature antics.

Kevin & Perry Go Large (2000)

The Immature Movie: Harry Enfield and Kathy Burke transfer their surly teen personas to the big screen in this Brits-abroad coming-of-age comedy. Let the knob-gags commence!

Crudest Moment:
Kevin sporting a massive “comedy” erection as a wasted girl clambers into bed next to him.

Mental Age:
A film about teenagers, aimed at teenagers, made by people old enough to know better.

The Master Of Disguise (2002)

The Immature Movie: Wayne’s World star Dana Carvey proves that Myers was the brains of the outfit with this shockingly unfunny comedy. Carvey’s human-turtle routine is one of the worst things you could ever hope to see.

Crudest Moment:
All of the impressions are crude, in the sense that they’re incredibly laboured. Carvey mimicking Pacino has to be seen to be believed.

Mental Age: This one goes beyond juvenile into the realm of the deranged…
