Games Removed From Xbox Live Marketplace (Double Dragon - Xbox Live Arcade)

Dont worry if you have previously purchased the games but deleted them from your hard drive as they can be redownloaded using your download history, but are not otherwise available.

Gears of War 2's Title Update 4 now Live (Gears of War 2)

Heads up, COG soldiers. Epic's Gears of War 2 has just received its highly-anticipated fourth Title Update. The new update not only adds experience to Horde mode, but also fixes a variety of bugs, according to the update notes on the Gears forums. Aside from fixing some issues with the new cringe-inducing smoke grenades, the new update also tweaks the Wingman match type, doing away with some of the issues involving weapon spawning and a particularly nasty exploit where players could get credit for two kills while only killing one opponent.

Hopefully, this will fix some of the persistent issues plaguing Gears of War 2's online component. So, grease up your Lancer and head out into battle. This weekend is chock full of XP, after all!

I don't know exactly what that means, but what can I say, today is my day off you ungrateful jerk! And really, shouldn't you be busy downloading a giant heap of maps and getting some practice in? You definitely need it. Some of our guys were getting warmed up last night and ran into some players who thought they were pretty epic. Turns out, only sometimes. Better luck next time. Maybe try going to the body with the AR to take out the shields first, then go up top with the BR. Just sayin'.

Midway Avoids Fatality, Who Cares? (Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe)

NowGamer: Warner Bros. Interactive is set to complete the acquisition of troubled Midway Games, but is it the last hurrah of an outmoded publisher?

Warner Bros. was the sole bidder for the majority of Midway's assets, including its Chicago and Seattle studios and the ubiquitous Mortal Kombat franchise. The $33 million sale has since been approved by a court hearing, while Midway's Newcastle and San Diego studios, which were not included in the deal along with a number of ageing sports titles, are set to close in the next 60 days if a buyer doesn't come forward.

The question is will gamers really care? The company was huge in the eighties, producing endless fun via its arcade division – but with the death of coin-ops, Midway has become something of a dinosaur, still relying on it's biggest franchise, Mortal Kombat.
