It was announced some time ago that Square-Enix would make it easier for Final Fantasy XI players to get married in-game, with the vague insinuation that the feature would go live at around the same time as the version update. Last week Capcom revealed that the hugely successful Resident Evil 5 for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 would receive new Downloadable Content (DLC). Today, Capcom have confirmed plans to release two new downloadable episodes, a host of new costumes, and a new The Mercenaries Reunion mode, featuring eight new playable characters and weapon load-outs.

WET Xbox 360 Version Cancelled In Japan (WET)

Kotaku writes: Multi-platform acrobatic shooter WET will only be getting a PlayStation 3 release in Japan. The Xbox 360 version has been cancelled.

According to the official announcement "various reasons" have been cited for the cancellation of the Xbox 360 version. In September, both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game were released in North America.

Sega is well aware of the of the long loading times that plagues the PS3 version of Bayonetta, and are looking into a the best possible way to fix the problem before the North American version of the game is released.

An inquiry made over at the official Platinum Games boards received a response from Sega that "they were well aware of this issue and are working on a solution."

Borderlands Is Best Selling New IP in 2009, says Gearbox (Borderlands)

The folks at Gearbox Software today declared their new game Borderlands the "fastest-selling original property video game launch of 2009." The Xbox 360 version sold through 418,000 units, placing it third on the all-SKU NPD top 10 chart for October. "In spite of launching towards the end of the month and competing against the first full month of sales of the latest Halo sequel [ODST], Borderlands dominated the Xbox 360 for October taking the #1 best seller position for the platform," the company stated.

Gearbox also pointed out that if you combine the total October sales of the game (545,000 units) across its Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC SKUs, the sales data would place Borderlands above Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Wii Fit Plus, which took first and second place, respectively during October.
