In response to CVG's "news" report of "chunk of Mass Effect team quits BioWare," Chris Priestly from BioWare has posted a message in the official Mass Effect forum. Here is his whole response (with the original typos):
Today, Kotaku got word that two of Microsoft's big first-party releases for the year have got themselves antipodean dates: Project Gotham Racing 4 can be expected on October 11 (9 days later than the US), while Mass Effect is due on November 22 (2 days later than the US).
It has just been announced that Mass Effect will be released in Europe 23 November, only 3 days after the USA release.
Today, Microsoft Game Studios and BioWare Corp. announced that the highly anticipated action role-playing game (RPG) "Mass Effect" will ship to retailers throughout North America on November 20, 2007. The recipient of more than 50 awards, including the 2007 Game Critics Awards for "Best Console Game" and "Best RPG" at the Electronic Entertainment Expo last month in Los Angeles, "Mass Effect" is poised to become the must-play RPG of 2007.
In an interview with Bioware about Mass Effect, they made clear that the game will get downloadable content just after its release. One can think of new planets to explore/new submissions, new weapons and new possibilities to change your character.
Fans of upcoming Xbox 360 role-playing games Blue Dragon and Mass Effect by Mistwalker and BioWare, respectively, will be pleased to know that new fan kits have been made available via GameSpot.

Mass Effect is nearly complete. The version IGN were shown today at the Leipzig Games Convention had just a few bugs left to quash according to Christina Norman, a programmer for BioWare, who gave IGN the demonstration. The outline of the demo was the same as IGN saw at E3, but IGN didn't just get a rehash of old info. IGN saw a more polished version of the game and a new feature that hadn't yet been revealed...
Earlier on this morning, this site was reported that, Mass Effect has been delayed to December 7th 2007 without stating no actual resources.
It seems retailers have started emailing all their customers who have preordered Bioware's Mass Effect.

For many people, the wait for BioWare's Mass Effect has been a terribly arduous one. We've been treated to a few snippets of gameplay action, some very pretty screens, and even a novel, but the game itself is still four months away. We got a chance to take an extended look at the game at E3 this year, and honestly, it looks like it's going to be worth the wait.
