Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 complete character roster leaked

Looks like someone on Capcom's press site has made a huge mistake, as art has leaked revealing the 8 additional new characters scheduled for the just announced Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Capcom has since locked down the leaked images, but here's the complete list of the leaked new characters:

Nemisis (Resident Evil 3), Vergil (Devil May Cry), Phoenix Wright, Frank West, Iron FistDr, Strange, Nova, and a huge curveball, Rocket Raccoon.

The images on Capcom's site have since been locked from public viewing, but you can still check out the official art of the new characters courtesy of NeoGAF. Again, these aren't "official" until Capcom confirms them, but there's no reason to doubt them given the official art and MVC3's existing penchant for oddball characters.

I should have known Capcom would do this before I bought MvC3. Oh well, I'll still buy it. I haven't played MvC3 recently or even unlocked every character so this will give me a reason to get back into it.

    1) Firebrand: pretty sweet. I have an unhealthy relationship with the Ghosts 'n Goblins series. 2) Rocket Raccoon: AWESOME! Guardians of the Galaxy is the best thing to have happened to comics in ages, and RR&Groot has been great as well. Just so you know, Rocky's a master tactician and gun fiend. Should make for an interesting fighter. 3) Nova. I don't know whether to believe it. Probably my #2 all-time favourite super-hero, dating back to the New Warriors days. With appearances by Justice, Firestar, and Speedball/Penance in Ultimate Alliance 2, this is a dream come true for me. Now where's my Darkhawk appearance?

All I wanted was Megaman and Venom/Carnage. WHERE ARE THEY!? I'm not getting this.

Wow Capcom are really starting to milk these updates, first it was DLC overkill but they decided fuck it, let's just charge for the cost of another game (albeit one that's a little cheaper). To me, SSFIV Arcade Edition took the piss a little. Yes I can see the benefits and the additions to it but then when they released Super just over a year before they must have already been working on Arcade, could they not have just held off and released it as one complete update?

I could care less about the new characters (although I would have liked to see a Juggernaut / Super large character) I could care less about the "Ultimate" version (although I expected it 6months further out than this) What I do care about is having the gameplay/mechanics completely overhauled, reworked, changed, balanced, tweaked, rebuilt. Game has too many 75%+ damage combos with ZERO way of getting out of them.

When I heard and saw Zero being played, I immediately turned off my monitor to prevent over-excited sex with the computer. But then I realized Megaman wasn't on here, and my boner got a little limp. Megaman seems to be really, REALLY suppressed as of late, and my huge, hidden Megaman fanatic inside me is starting to boil. At least I'm getting my Warhammer 40k fix, yet another amazing, partially untapped resource for amazing gaming!

why the fuck would they even consider rocket fuckin raccoon, and they have the nerve to not announce venom, carnage, or at least doc-ock man first mml3 then mmu & now a $40 re-release of a game I already paid $60 for.

Once they add Squirrel Girl and Howard the Duck it'll be a must buy. Until then screw it.
  • BlackElement17 - July 21, 2011 4:26 a.m.

Rocket Raccoon and still no Squirrel Girl.
  • FauxFurry - July 21, 2011 3:47 a.m.

Not a single new female cast member in the lot. Couldn't they have used the female version of Nova, at least? If they toss Squirrel Girl in to the mix, all will be forgiven. Other than the lack of ladies, the new additions are pretty solid.

@mccoll_17 and very weird guy also vergil has a very different fighting style to dante, he is more demonic and refuses to use guns, relying primarily on his katana which he draws and strikes with so fast all you see is him sliding it back into its sheath

OBJEC- actually, you know what, I see no problem here. TAKE THAT!
  • gmknoble - July 21, 2011 12:53 a.m.

So disappointed not to see Gambit...
  • Grimi - July 21, 2011 12:46 a.m.

Fuck yeah Rocket Raccoon. I'm probably one of the only people who has actually know of him before this is, awesome. Also Pheonix Wright
  • IBReady - July 20, 2011 11:59 p.m.

Not bummed about MegaMan. Zero is a rushdown beast. and now that Strider is back, watch a million strider doom teams pop up. (and watch the whining when the old lockdowns don't work in this game)
  • bestdef19 - July 20, 2011 11:50 p.m.

still not picking it up until they add captain commando back in.......seriously rocket raccon. They must be trying to piss their fans off
  • Blackcraft - July 20, 2011 11:32 p.m.

ZOMG Rocket Racoon! I'm hoping for a Groot cameo. This is the best news evar!
  • fullmetallegend - July 20, 2011 11:24 p.m.

Wow, still no Mega Man. Tsk tsk tsk. Good thing I dislike the actual game-play in MvC
