Tales of Xillia out August 6 in U.S., August 9 in Europe

Tales of Xillia will release on August 6 in North America and August 9 in Europe. Namco Bandai confirmed the dates for the latest in its fan-favorite RPG franchise to us at a media event earlier this month.

Xillia released in Japan in 2011, bringing a new twist to the series as players opt for either medical student Jude Mathis or elemental master Milla Maxwell at the beginning of the story. Check out our preview to learn more about how the choice of either character will affect the campaign, and how Xillia's link system shakes up the series' signature action combat.

The PlayStation 3 exclusive is available for pre-order now, in both a regular $60 version and $100 collector's edition with artbook, soundtrack, and Milla figurine.

They put Graces on the PS3 when it was originally on the Wii so I really hope they put this on the Wii U to be fair... it'd be nice lol

Can't wait, I've been anticipating this games release for well over a year now and for the first time ever I'm contemplating picking up a special edition for the art book it comes with.

I love me some Tales. Just recently I finished my Graces F play through, and that marks my first ever finished JRPG. I'm lovin' this series.

I've been looking forward to this game for a while. The Tales Of series is just about the only long running jrpg series that hasn't gone to shit. I'll definitely be spending some time with this.
