Steam Summer Camp Sale: Arkham Asylum for $7.49, L4D2 for $4.99, GTA IV for $9.99 and more

The Steam monster continues its rampage on our wallets as we press forward to day seven of Valve’s Summer Camp Sale event. The deals are plentiful, and with this year’s dry summer release schedule, Valve is making it hard to make digital purchases in moderation. Just look at the deals! Today’s featured items include Batman: Arkham Asylum for $7.49, Left 4 Dead 2 for $4.99, Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition for $9.99, Far Cry 2 for $4.99, Lost Planet 2 for $19.99, The Sims 3 for $13.60, Prototype for $14.99, Gothic 4 for $12.49, Jamestown for $4.99, and The Killing Floor for $4.99.

Also on sale is King’s Bounty: Armored Princess for $4.99. If you haven’t played it, the indie hex-based strategy game is definitely worth today’s small price of admission. It’s fast-paced, hilarious, rewarding, and – most importantly – a whole lot of fun, which is why GamesRadar awarded it a rather glowing nine-out-of-ten review score.

It should also be noted that the 80% cut to King’s Bounty: Armored Princess applies to the whole franchise, meaning that you can also grab the also excellent King’s Bounty: The Legend for $2.99 and King’s Bounty: Crossworlds for $3.99. The Sims 3, Far Cry, and the Gothic series are also getting the franchise sale treatment with price cuts for all relevant titles and expansions.

If you don’t already use Valve’s digital distribution service, you can download the Steam client for PC or Mac from the official site. The Steam Summer Camp Sale is scheduled to continue until July 10 with new deals posted every day.

Don't underestimate Jamestown, it's a really great game. Yeah, the co-op multiplayer is only local (for now, at least), but it's a really solid bullet-hell game. And it's GORGEOUS. I'm looking forward to GR's review.

I love the look on Rochelle's face!

I fully recommend Killing Floor. some of the most fun I've had on Steam, I've had in Killing Floor. it's dirt cheap, there's an event going on (do the stupidly easy achievements for a kickass character to play as), and all the DLC (except for the Steampunk costumes; which you can get for free for 3 Summer Camp Tickets) is just 50 cents a pop. it's a simple game, but a damn good one.

I bought both L4D2 and GTA two days ago. I didn't think that they would go even lower in price.

@EnragedTortoise1 - L4D isn't a survival game, it's actually a metaphor for a young woman coming of age, everything comes rushing at her and she have to grow up and learn to survive in a hurry. It's quite beautiful really. The hard part will be saying that with a straight face.

Unfortunately, I still have parents on my case, so L4D, GTA, and Killing Floor are out of the question.

This is the first day of the sale where I'm not tempted to buy anything (I already own Far Cry 2 and L4D2 is too bloody for my tastes)

$10 for GTA 4 and with storys, WOW! That's a deal! Too bad i bought them all at full price during release. I really love these steam sales, not even for the cheap games, for the Multiplayer coming back to life for some of these titles.

Far Cry 2 for 5 bucks = yes. Don't worry if you find the first few hours boring. I was bored at first, but then the game got its hooks in me and the next 45 hours were amazing.

This damn sale needs to end. I'm pretty much out of money now.

This is why Valve is the best developer on the market.
