Sony's selling three first-party Vita games cheap, including one you simply have to buy

Sony is offering three first-party Vita games for the tasty, low price of £11.99 on the UK PS Store (14.99 Euros). One of them is Reality Fighters and one of them is ModNation Racers: Road Trip. There's probably a reason why these games have come down in price, if we're honest. Neither is very good. But it's the third and final game in the promotion that we recommend with every ounce of recommendation we can wring from our recommendation glands - Everybody's Golf.

Above: You won't catch Tiger Woods letting you play a shot from the side of a road

The game is known as Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational in the US, but it doesn't matter what it's called. It's brilliant. You may think it's old RRP of £34.99 is a bit steep for a cartoony golf game, but this is the exception. And now, even that one single reason you might have for not buying it has been pulled away like one of those Spanish tablecloths that must surely need washing, like, right now.

Above: I daren't guess how many hours I've put into this game on Vita. It says 88 rounds, but that won't count all the ones I restarted in anger. 40 hours, maybe? Mummy...

Considering the first-party nature of the games, we are surprised that Wipeout and Uncharted aren't included in the offer, but perhaps they're selling just fine as it is. Either way, if you have a Vita and you haven't bought Everybody's Golf yet, now's the time to do it. You won't regret it.

And in case you're looking for more games to feed your game-starved Vita, how about reading my personal story of PS Vita's game drought made me resort to buying Pure Chess. How did that possibly turn out to be a good thing?? There's plenty of great stuff out there.

Too bad I don't give a shit about golf or sports in general, cutesy or otherwise.

Actually, I don't like golf either. But I *love* Everybody's Golf.

Well, the reason I'm reluctant to think I could ever like it, is because I just can't get engaged with sports of racing games, of any kind. I tried both Mario tennis and Mario Golf, and i never played it for more than a couple hours. I'm a narrative driven kind of gamer, as simple or clunky it might be, that always engage me more than just a game where there is no real story beyond just playing a game and aiming to get first place. No matter how good or engaging the actual game or presentation is. Which probably also explains why I don't like any kind of multiplayer XD

Looks cool, but I don't have (or plan on getting) a Vita. They should make a (U.S.) Football game like that. Something different from the same old Madden.

I played the demo and liked it a lot (and I hate golf) so this would be a great deal, but unfortunately I have to save up for Resistance, MGS HD Collection and Gravity Rush.

Does anyone know whether I would be able to download this after I already have saved game data, update... etc off a rented game cart? Or would I need to get rid of my existing data beforehand? Basically what would happen? Much obliged if anyone could help. Plus does this download some full with a network pass as well?

harsh. modnation is awesome. highly underated imo, just cos you cant race online with peeps. i admit it should have been in the game, but i didnt do it on the ps3 version, i just really enjoy the creation aspects and the odd race, an that is here in all its glory. on top of that you can import your stuff over(has to be published online but thats easy enough) so you can easily play whatever track on whatever console. i ignored modnation for the ps3 until i read a few reviews, it swayed me, and i havent been dissapointed. i prefer it over mario kart for many reasons. seen this price had £8 on there( from trade cred) so only cost me £4 quid :P its filled up the mem card though :/ as for the golf game, i was seriously considering it, but the difficultly that kept on getting talked about in the reviews i read put me off, thats not to say i dont like difficult games, i love both demons and dark souls i just dont want that in a golf game.

There's actually an 'Easy' mode in Everybody's Golf that can be turned on and off whenever you like - and it makes a point of stressing that using it won't penalise your rewards in any way. It's literally so that you, robinkurosaki, can enjoy it ;)
