After new screens of Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 leaked onto Xbox Live, Sega has taken the welcome initiative of going ahead and sharing a bunch more images from the title. The new pictures include a good look at some of the game's detailed zones, the Sonic 2-style bonus stage, enemies including the episode's antagonist, Sonic CD's Metal Sonic, and some team action between Sonic and the newly-returned Tails.

Sega also says there'll be a new trailer for Episode 2 making its debut next week. The new clip's scheduled to go live February 23, with the full episode due for release in May. As big Sonic 4 fans, we're looking forward to seeing more.

This looks pretty good I guess. But I still have to beat episode one and i cant because robotnik is an asshole.

It still kind of irks me that they aren't using Classic Sonic for this. The whole intent is to win back the disgruntled Genesis fans, but they still insist on using ugly Modern Sonic. Ergh– whatever, Sonic 4: Episode 1 was a step in the right direction and Sonic Generations was actually pretty damn good. If this can at least match the level of Generations I'll be content.

This is looking good. Tails may be annoying to some but I like him. Also the special stage from Sonic 2 ks back, so that's cool.

Awesome, seems like this will surpass Episode 1 by a longshot if done right, Episode 1,Color's and Generations was a Step forward for Sonic, lets hope they keep it going.

Whats a Sonic game without an ice or water level...

I just recently started playing Episode 1, and while there are some things I don't like about it, it's still a fun game and, as others have stated, a step in the right direction. I hope that, after releasing Generations to positive reviews, Sega will take what they learned with it and make Episode 2 even better than the first.

Anyone else think of a less epic version of Dr. McNinja's gorilla/shark hi-five when they saw the picture for the article? No? Just me?

I was so massively disappointed with the first game that i'm pretty sure I won't even bother with this one. It felt nothing like a sonic game and really doesn't deserve the title 'Sonic 4'. Stupid walking animation, horrible physics, stopping dead in mid air, unfurling after ramps, being forced to use the ridiculous homing attack and being able to play the carbon copy levels in any order are some of the reasons it sucks so bad. We need a sonic game with original graphics but even if that happened I'm sure they'd fuck it up by using the shitty sprite from sonic 3 and add homing attacks.

I can't believe that I'm in the minority but I actually loved episode 1. It played really well with its new gameplay and still gave me the nostalgia factor. Can't wait for this.
