Shadows of the Damned, Battlefield 3, and FIFA heading to Japan

EA teams up with Sega to bring Mikami/Suda51's survival horror home

Electronic Arts may have a reputation as a more US-centric publisher, but the upcoming Japanese release of the EA-published Shadows of the Damned ought to call that into question. The title, which comes from Japanese devs Shinji Mikami and Suda51, is now coming full circle thanks to a new publishing agreement between EA and Sega.

Shadows of the Damned, which saw western release in late June (check out our review), wears Suda's trademark sensibilities on its sleeve – so much so that you might be surprised to find it hasn't already seen a Japanese release. The September 22 release will inaugurate the deal between Sega and EA, which includes plans to introduce more properties to Japanese audiences. Following the release of SotD, one of the EA's most storied (and international) of franchises, FIFA, will join the season's tent-pole release, along with Battlefield 3. What EA titles do you think would go over well in Japan?

Finished SotD last night and I quite enjoyed it <3 Game's pretty bonkers at times and has a nice atmosphere at other times. The 'cabin' struck a good cord with me as did the frantic chases. Well, at least untill I knew I could easily do those with the Light shot :p
