New Deus Ex: Human Revolution trailer shows lots of gameplay

Square Enix has just released a new trailer for Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and it shows off a lot of gameplay clips featuring the main character, Adam Jensen. Body modifications played a major role in the earlier Deus Ex titles, and you’ll see a lot of them put to good use in the following video, which shows Jensen using nanotech in lots of stealth and combat scenes. Check it out.

Above: Jensen's mecha-arms look awesome. We hope it's not his wife

    Looks entertaining.

So far this is the best looking reason to upgrade my PC.

I too recently played through Deus Ex 1 and honestly, I will not be holding this game up to that game's standards... BUT I will still be playing this game because, without the Deus Ex title, it still looks like a very good game regardless.

Wow they really shouldn't have worked so well on that original 3D trailer because the graphics in that trailer were a bit of let down, especialy the main characters facial model......yuk. Also I really wish this wasn't a first person doesnt look right. Still gonna play the hell out of it though

It LOOKS amazing, but we still can't determine wether it will be a decent game or not.

oh, and Tyler. I'd just like to point out that since this entry in the series is 20 years before the original Deus Ex, there were no nano tech upgrades like you said. It's all bio-mechanical. Just nitpicking though.
  • CaptainSpatula - August 13, 2010 7:47 p.m.

just in time too. I recently finished (for the first time ever) the original Deus Ex and now I'm playing through Invisible war. As long as the voice acting/story is good and SOME OF THE LEVELS ARE SET IN THE FREAKING DAY TIME I'll be happy. Seriously Deus Ex, is it night all the time in your world? ease up on the depressing as hell levels.

One's his wife and the other is his gay lover.

One of my most hyped games for next year, I absolutely cannot wait, especially since according to an interview I read a few weeks ago that the story will last around 17-25 hours. Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy.
  • H2A2I00 - August 13, 2010 4:03 p.m.

this game looks awesome i can't wait for it to come out
  • nikos_the_great - August 13, 2010 4 p.m.

Unfortunately it won't live up the hype imo.
  • CARDYKEV - August 13, 2010 3:54 p.m.

The fact they are appealing to the console market means it's already ruined and won't be anything like the first. Cover system, auto regen health, stupid take down / stealth animations means a more arcadey and less immersive experience imo but i am more than happy to be proven wrong, please prove me wrong!
  • db1331 - August 13, 2010 3:40 p.m.

Please, please, PLEASE don't mess this game up. I just want it to be half as good as the original and I will be happy.

2 things. 1) my question is: what does Adam Jensen have to do with the brothers from the first 2 Deus Ex games and (2) Does his voice sound like Joe Flanigan, the guy who played Shepard on Stargate: Atlantis?
  • JakeyBaby - August 13, 2010 3:15 p.m.

    Oh Hell Yes.
