Medal of Honor: Warfighter release date and more revealed in first video

EA's next big shooter dropping October with free Special Edition

EA's released an announce trailer for Medal of Honor: Warfighter, and there's some new details hidden amid the impressively Frostbitten action clips. Besides packing several minutes' worth of game footage into a tight, Pause-rewarding 90 seconds, the clip sets a release date well in advance and provides some incentive to order the game before that time.

October 23's the date EA has set for Warfighter's release – and just like its 2012 predecessor, preorders of the sequel will get a free upgrade to the game's Limited Edition. What that comprises exactly hasn't yet been revealed. Medal of Honor's early customers got early access to in-game shotguns and an exclusive free submachine gun, so there's a good baseline. However, EA's spent the past couple years working hard at new ways of managing bonus content – think crossover items, or the game-by-game approach to Online Pass material – so the Limited Edition of its signature shooter could be one to keep an eye on...

If a million EA development teams work on a million modern shooters a year for a million years, eventually they will make a game that sells as well as COD. Glad to see they are sticking with the plan

is it me or did this game just appear out of nowhere? I liked the singleplayer on the last MOH but the multiplayer was boring. Maybe that's the ploy to get you to buy both Battlefield AND MOH haha!

Treyarch guys are working on this one. Didn't know much about Danger Close, - http://www.thegameheadz.com/games/xbox360/medalofhonor/tabid/616/vw/1/itemid/1797/medal-of-honor-warfighter.aspx But I guess some guys from Dice and Treyarch got together and form a new studio. Anyone else know what Danger Close is all about. I think they came out of no where.

I'm looking forward to this, the last MOH game wasn't as bad as some people made out. At least the single player in Warfighter can't possibly be any worse than Battlefield 3's campaign.
