Mass Effect 3's “Take Back Earth” trailer brings it home

We're still a long way from a Mass Effect movie, but if it's anything like this new CGI promo for Mass Effect 3, consider us there on opening night. In the meantime, rejoice in the digital human apocalypse to come with BioWare and EA's latest “Take Back Earth” trailer:

Like what you see? Just wait. Today, EA tweeted word that an extended cut will be ready to post in just two days. We're crossing our fingers for more of the little kid running through the sunflowers, because that was just dang adorable.

The Take Back Earth trailer was teased last week, around the same time BioWare dropped a Mass Effect 3 demo on Xbox Live and PSN. Obviously fans are being whipped into a frenzy for the triology capper, which is said to end the current Mass Effect storyline. We say “current”, because you know EA will be publishing Mass Effect games well into the next century.

Mass Effect 3 finally lands for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on March 6 in North America, and March 9 in the UK. You can also catch one early in select cities, as physical copies fall from space during an EA promo sometime next week.

The only thing I don't like about the scene in the demo is the lack of a fight you (Shepard) puts up when his mentor and friend, Anderson, elects to stay on a planet besieged by the deadliest creatures in the universe

Are we sure it indeed Williams? She looks... well actually she looks hotter than game 1! lol Anyway this trailer was awesome, hope they throw a nother gameplay one before the release. Gotta love how Shepard kills with omni tool blade! The scene with the little girl and the reaper reminded me of a joke with a girl that does not know how Santa looks like. Is it me or did just Shepard decided to abandon small team inflitration tactics and go full offensive? (he's / she's back folks! And he/she has brought more than 8 people!) What is wrong with the Reapers' targeting choices? I bet they just hate London! The previous trailers state that we decide how it all ends... I guess there is no option if we just wanted all this to be a dream Joker had about being a bad pilot...

We can be argue about the usage of the kid all day, but we're just ignoring the fact that Bioware made milquetoast Ashley hot all of a sudden. apparently her new Spectre insurance covers plastic surgery.

Too bad her actual in-game face is actually hideous >>; Seriously, all that long hair and outfit doesn't hide the fact that she looks like Michael Jackson >.< Unlike other people, I'm not that upset of her new outfit and hairstyle, but WHY did hey have to alter her face model???

I romanced her in the first game, now I have separate saves for cheating on her with each and every romance option, both renegade and paragon, just so I have every opportunity just to piss off her dumb face. ... (What the hell has my life become?)

this cgi trailer and bioware's dragon age 2 trailer are amazing, there are parts in both where i questioned if its real or not

As long as they bring back Liara as a partner. Or Miranda. And Mordin for sure, he is an all out boss. Also, I honestly don't even think they needed to put the kid in there for any reason, the game has enough hype and actual quality going for it that I'm pretty sure they're set for launch.

Who's the female with male Shepard?
  • FlyinHawaiian13 - February 20, 2012 12:16 p.m.

It's Ashley Williams from the first game

I got her killed, accidentally-on-purpose. Racist bitch.

Killing kids must be the new thing, between this, MW3, and Dead Island. Badass trailer though.

Saw this during either V for Vendetta or The Walking Dead, which if you haven't seen either of them, you need to watch them ASAP. Looks good, can't wait for this end of the story.
