Nintendo's not leaving the Wii to the depredations of third-parties just yet, with the upcoming Mario Party 9 reminding players that Mario still loves them (at least until they upgrade to a Wii U). Set for a March release, the game's central feature is the new Party Adventure mode, whose vehicular board-traversing is previewed in this batch of new shots.
The Party Adventure portion of the game ties together some 80 minigames, ranging from pizza construction (because Mario is Italian-American, see) to ghost-evasion (because King Boo is Supernatural-American, maybe). Minigames will be accessible independently or from the Party Adventure game board, and included with boss battles to mix co-op with competitive points-grabbing. Mario Party 9's due to release March 2 in Europe, with a US release following on the 11th.
