Homefront developer investigating reports of game freezing

It's pretty annoying when you're playing a game and all of the sudden it just freezes up, forcing you to perform a hard reset of your console. That's what numerous players have been saying about both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the new high-profile shooter Homefront. On the game's official forums, frustrated players recounted experiences of complete system crashes when exiting game lobbies as well as in the middle of gameplay.

Developer Kaos Studios is looking into the issue. Community manager Jeremy Greiner responded to complaints, saying, "I'm looking into the reports of PS3 freezing issues and will provide an update once I've spoken with all the teams. Will need a bit of time, but in the interim - thanks a lot for your patience."

Users noted that the freezing problem is not exclusive to the PS3, as Xbox 360 players also cited instances of the game crashing shortly after it booted up. Greiner expanded his comments to encompass all players, adding, "We're looking into the issue that is happening to a few users, once I have an update it will be posted here. Thanks for your patience."

He also asked for players who have been affected to help in the troubleshooting process. "If you could please post the exact step by step process of how it occurred, that would be appreciated," he said.

We tried the game for the first time tonight on PS3. Haven't been able to complete one TDM game without freezing and having to do a hard restart. Disappointing, but we will be patient while a fix is figured out.

My issue is this: After day two, when I signed in to my xbox gamer profile(the one I used all day on day one on and offline)the game began to load; and right after it says KAOS in big letters the game freezes every time. I used an offline profile and it loaded fine. It only froze when I used the profile that I already played with. I called Xbox and they had me delete and recover my profile which didn't help. I ended up buying a second xbox live membership and profile(which really pisses me off) so I could still play during spring break. I still have the connection issues but no freezes so far on the second profile. I wanna cancel my second account ASAP and use my original profile. I still have faith in Homefront so come on guys, get on your game!! Its been a week now. WTF?

I played through the whole campaign on the 360 plus some and the game has been solid. No freezes or glitches at all.

My copy on 360 worked completely fine. Played through all the campaign and one match of multiplayer without a single problem. Although, I think at one point it froze for half a second but then it carried on perfectly fine.
