The first trailer has arrived for the Coen brothers' new film,
Inside Llewyn Davis
, in which Oscar Isaac plays the titular folk singer, who seems to get the wrong side of everyone he comes across.
Davis describes himself as a folk singer, much to the contempt of a bizarrely coiffed John Goodman, and the movie follows his attempts to make it as a performer in New York's Greenwich Village.
The story is adapted from Dave Van Ronk's The Mayor Of MacDougal Street , a first-hand account of the American music scene in the '50s and '60s, where there were many characters knocking about worthy of their place in a Coen brothers picture!
Take a look below:
We don't know quite what he's done to hack so many people off, but Davis certainly seems to come in for some stick from Goodman and Carey Mulligan in particular. Good job he's got that hangdog look down to a fine art…
Co-starring Justin Timberlake, Garret Hedlund and F. Murray Abraham, Inside Llewyn Davis will open in the US on 8 February 2013, with a UK release to follow.
