E3 2011: Sony and Subway promotion to offer early access to Uncharted 3 multiplayer

Come this November, Uncharted 3's multiplayer is where all the cool action adventure kids will be hanging out; but if you want exclusive early access to the Nathan Drake frag party, eating at a Subway restaurant this October may be your ticket in.

Announced yesterday during Sony's E3 address, Naughty Dog's Evan Wells revealed Sony has paired with Subway restaurants to offer players the opportunity to enjoy the “complete” Uncharted 2 multiplayer experience one month before the game officially ships simply buy purchasing special items at the “Eat Fresh” chain throughout October. Though details of the promotion were vague, Wells did say all progress and stats earned by early players during this pre-release period would transfer to the full game when it arrives on November 1st in North America, and November 4th in the UK.

It isn't clear what these 'special items' include, or if the offer extends to hungry multiplayers beyond North America's borders. Regardless, expect details for the promo to be plastered on the walls, cups and wrappers of every conceivable Subway shortly.

If you simply can't wait to get your mitts on Uncharted 3, Naughty Dog and Sony also said a multiplayer beta will be available for genuine pre-hack PlayStation Plus members on June 28th, and for everyone else July 5th to 13th via the 'Welcome Pack' program. No sandwiches required.
