E3 2010: Super Scribblenauts trailer shows off amazing adjectives

The first Scribblenauts was amazing. Being able to type any word into the game and see it brought magically to life was a revelation. The cat/toast warphole was a particularly memorable combination. But it looks like all that's going to be completely upstaged by its sequel, Super Scribblenauts, which adds adjectives to the formula.

Yup, those 'describing words' you remember from school are back, allowing you to specify size, colour... even more adventurous things like the mood of your chosen object. We're loving the 'Gentlemanly red Raptor' in the trailer. In fact, we'll stop going on about how great it is and let you see for yourself:

@shyfonzie: So, what do you think will happen if we type in "Shy Fonzie"? First in-game Gamz-Radder character ever???

Isn't it nice 5th Cell takes criticism well?

I hope that it takes in account of alternative spellings, or else it's going to be fustrating for us that want colourful things instead of colorful ones :D

Putting my hands on that, first think I'll try to conjure is a Hungry Hungry Hippo.

The collective Internet will probably wait for the confirmation of a 'sexy' adjective before they're sold.
  • FalconMbuster - June 15, 2010 5:06 p.m.

    My pants are happy.

I loved Scribblenauts. Hopefully this one will require more thought than "Jetpack" to solve all its levels.

I hope the gameplay is actually improved, the last game was fun for about 3 days, then the novelty wore off...
