Black Ops 2 multiplayer reveal trailer arrives

Shares

The multiplayer reveal trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 introduces a ton of new gadgets and toys to play with during the endless hours of deathmatch. Practically every moment of this trailer is packed with awesome footage of stuff we desperately want to get our hands on. The future may be Black, but the future of Black Ops multiplayer is looking bright.

Words cannot describe how much we want to stroll through a multiplayer level in a personal mech. There are no words. Also, judging from the ending of the trailer - with an announcer casting some of the "holy shhh" moments of a player - it may be that Activision is hinting at a future for Black Ops 2 in eSports. Which seems like an obvious move given how popular Call of Duty already is, and how popular eSports is becoming.

This is looking better with every new trailer or gameplay release. Also this is the second time I've heard this song in a trailer on GR: http://www.gamesradar.com/shootmania-storm-announcement-trailer/

Given that there is so little to really compete with Carl of Duty Black Cops 2, I guess I'll get it. It doesn't look as terrible as MW3. And it's only now I realize how sad that is, that Call of Duty looks more appealing then AC3 (the last 2 AC's pretty much ruined the franchise for me) Halo 4 (Co-op and single player is all I'll care about, again. For the 3rd time in a row), and the Medal of Honor game (still haven't really sold me on it), and the BF3 DLC (Because people were clamoring for MORE MURDER BEHEMOTHS and no new ways for infantry to kill them or stunt them). This year make me feel sad.

Wow that was WAY more different than I expected the multiplayer to look like and I got to say, it's shaping up too look pretty good. Of course, I would have to see all the weapons and equipment first to see if they got the weapon balancing right since MW3's weapon balance threw me off profoundly. However, we've yet to see the sum of its parts for Black Ops 2 since no trailer has been released yet for zombies (since that's what everyone is waiting for even though I'm in it mainly for the campaign). Again, looking good Treyarch especially for a company taking such a risk as this one.

This actually looks interesting. Loving that throwing stun knife but the heat laser looks too overpowered. I'll just stick to Treyarch from here on out. They actually TRY to make a game.

Wow, wasn't bad. Black Ops gave me the most multiplayer fun since Call of Duty 4, and I've always had a soft spot for Treyarch. They really shined once Black Ops came out (though I'd to see some improvements in Zombies--two hits should not down me), and I have faith they can bring their creativity to the near-future setting. I just hope Ice Cube isn't an announcer this time around.

I'm still not convinced that this CoD is worth my time. With games that I know will be better, including AC3, Halo 4, the new Medal of Honor, and all the DLC for Battlefield 3 (which, by the way, looks better than this in more than just graphics)coming out, I doubt I'm going to buy BlOps 2. Either way, there'll be another one in two years time, so I won't have to wait long

Hmmm to be honest it seems different then all the rest, which is good. It reuses the sprint animation and the hybrid sights but either then that it seems like a new game in my opinion. Plus there even elaberating more on zombies :)

Sorry FanBoys, the MechSuit was obviously stolen from Blacklight Redemption. http://blacklight.perfectworld.com/about/hardsuit

I previewed BL: Ret last year, so I know all about their mechs. But you can't steal awesome. Awesome just naturally proliferates. I was more talking about wanting to walk around a CoD map with a mech, after years of hiding around corners and prone sniping. http://www.gamesradar.com/blacklight-retribution-hands-preview/

The guy at the end was MLG shout-caster Hastro. It was there (most likely) to show that Treyarch/Activision want to appeal to the GB/MLG crowd. In fact, there were numerous references to the YouTube Call of Duty community. There was Hastro, but there were also classes named MostlyUseMeBlade (referencing ONLYUSEmeBLADE) and ShotgunSark (referencing Sark from Machinima).
