Assassin's Creed: Ubisoft teases “major announcement” soon

Guessing hats on for this week's big reveal

Ubisoft has taken to Facebook to let all its friends know they can look forward to a “major announcement from Assassin’s Creed” in the next few days. The company advises you keep an eye on the official AssCreed site tomorrow, but the Internet being what it is, you're just as well off camping out on the Facebook page – or here, where we'll keep you updated and tell you nice things about yourself in the meantime. Speaking of, those colors really bring out your eyes.

This month, Ubisoft's already revealed a new mobile game in the series, teased an upcoming slice of Revelations DLC... and, oh yeah, revealed the street date for the real actual bona-fide next numbered game in the staggeringly popular series. Neither the setting nor protagonist for AC3 have been announced yet, so these would seem like potential candidates for the reveal. That, or the company's almost ready to reveal it's been working for the Illuminati all along. We're not placing bets either way.

It's probably the teaser to the announcement that the official AC3 reveal is coming soon. That's what I think.

I love it when companies announce that they are going to make an announcement soon.

Assassin's Creed: We're Going To Get Away With 'Developing' More of The Same. Sure, it's a long title, but that's all they're really doing at this point and I'd appreciate it if became more forward about it.

I can see it now, their announcement is that they're really not done with Ezio's story yet.
