Zach Galifianakis considering a Town House

Zach Galifianakis and Amy Adams are close to signing up for Fox 2000's Town House.

Loosely based on writer Tish Cohen's titular debut novel, the film finds an agoraphobic man (Galifianakis) living with his teenage son in a historic house that he inherited from his dad, a rock star.

But when the royalties from pop's music career start to dry up, he's forced to confront his life properly. As is surely standard for this sort of film, he befriends a call girl (Adams).

The film has been in development for a while, and nabbed Once director John Carney to oversee it way back in 2007, but the writers' strike meant a delay in getting it ready.

Now, with production support from Ridley and Tony Scott, it should start shooting next summer...
