The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition bound for Xbox 360 in April
Console “adaptation” will be among 360's best-looking titles, promises developer
A release date has been confirmed for the substantially-enhanced console edition of CD Projekt's The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. In a live stream on the game's Facebook page, the company announced that The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition will arrive on Xbox 360 April 17. Calling the title less a port than an “adaptation,” CD Projekt's Michal Nowakowski asserted that “many specialists” had proclaimed the title “one of the best looking games on Xbox 360 ever.”
As well as all the DLC provided so far for the PC version of the game, The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition will include around four hours' worth of new playable content and some 30 minutes of new cinematics. CD Projekt calls the $60 title “the richest base edition of an Xbox 360 title ever.” An $80 Special Edition will include artwork, behind-the-scenes discs, and flair such as decals and a replica medallion from the game. All that, and the team's elected to sell the game with high-quality CG footage of men lighting each others' farts (above). Those Poles sure know how to put on an announcement.
