Ashens And The Quest For The Gamechild debuts tonight in a London cinema, and online here

Described as "a feature film for the YouTube generation", Ashens And The Quest For The Gamechild is a comedy adventure starring Warwick Davis, Robert Llewellyn and of course YouTube technology sensation Stuart Ashen .

"YouTube used to be characterised by bedroom vloggers and webcams," we're told, "but this new film, premiering on Thursday 8 August which coincides with the film's cinema screening premiere, turns that assumption on its head. Featuring a stellar line up of YouTube stars, with two million subscribers between them, the film has cinema quality production values."

The film will be distributed entirely free of charge as one episode on YouTube , and whilst part its budget was provided by production company ChannelFlip , the rest was funded entirely by fans on Indiegogo .
