Before Destiny goes to the Plaguelands with the Rise of Iron on September 20, it's headed to Gamescom 2016. Developer Bungie plans to have a big presence in Cologne, Germany this year, but you won't have to make the trip to see the highlights: just tune in to the pre-conference Twitch stream starting at 10 am PDT / 6 pm BST on Tuesday, August 16.
Bungie says the stream will focus on the new Crucible stuff coming in Rise of Iron, including new modes, maps, and more. Destiny devs will be on hand to discuss the additions while Guardians try them out in fights to the death for your amusement. New single-player/co-op stuff will also debut via a video documentary, including new looks at Felwinter Peak and the Plaguelands Zone (which includes a torn-up version of the Cosmodrome). The stream will go live below once Bungie is ready.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and was formerly a staff writer at GamesRadar+.
