If you’ve completed Uncharted 3 by now, you may think you’ve had your fill of the dashing adventurer, but that doesn’t mean Drake is taking a break. He’s already jumping back into action in the PS Vita launch title Uncharted: Golden Abyss. This newest set of screens for the title shows Drake sniping away in the jungle, no doubt to save an attractive woman. Take a look…

One of the first things we saw for the Vita was the system’s motion controls being used by Drake to snipe enemies from a distance. These overcast shots look to have Drake using that same feature to protect his new lady friend Marisa from afar, in-between picking off nondescript thugs and blowing up cars. Though it might break up the whole jumping around thing Nate does so well, we hope these sniping sections aren’t just tacked on to use the system’s new gimmicks.

Golden Abyss is the first Uncharted game not made by Naughty Dog, with Sony Bend taking over. Though Bend is most famous for the Syphon Filter games, so far it looks like they picked up what the series does so well. Golden Abyss comes out Dec 17 in Japan, and everywhere else February 22 along with the launch of Sony’s new handheld
