We've had little more than a few promo images and set photos of The Dark Tower so far, but it looks like we'll finally be getting a trailer soon. The first footage from the Stephen King adaptation, starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey, was shown at CinemaCon this week, and although reports suggest it's still unfinished, we should expect to see something soon.
But what to do until then?
Well, thankfully those lucky enough to see the footage have shared their reactions on Twitter and elsewhere and I've collated some of the best to keep you going until the trailer is released. The good news is, everyone sounds really positive about what they saw so fingers crossed fans will be pleased.
Article continues belowThe footage opens with a look at a door frame standing free in the middle of a barren landscape. It then it cuts to Roland in the desert as the famous opening line to King's The Gunslinger, the first volume in the series, is displayed on screen: "The Man in Black fled across the Desert, and the Gunslinger followed.”
The footage gives a strong idea of just what The Man in Black is capable of, and it's scarily creepy. Roland and The Man in Black then square off, with Roland telling the villain, "I do not kill with my gun, I kill with my heart." He fires at The Man in Black, who catches the bullet from behind his back.
