Kirsten Dunst puts her sad face on for Melancholia's UK trailer

A UK trailer for Lars von Trier's Melancholia has landed online over at Digital Spy .

The controversial 'Nazi' comments that got von Trier kicked out of Cannes weren't enough to quell the love for this one, and Kirsten Dunst took the festival's Best Actress award home for her efforts.

Seeing as the film deals with the imminent end of our world courtesy of a large planet (Melancholia) on a collision course with Earth, it's not the cheeriest affair.

That said, it has plenty to enjoy, not least a career-redefining turn from Dunst, and stellar support from Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kiefer Sutherland and Alexander Skarsgård.

Check out the trailer now, and feel bad for the rest of the day:

Melancholia opens on 30 September 2011 in the UK.
