Phones at the ready - the first Ghostbusters teaser trailer is here

Paul Feig's Ghostbusters is the last 2016 blockbuster to throw its hat into the trailer ring, and now it looks like it's coming a little later than expected. It was originally thought that our first look at some substantial footage would be online before the end of this month, but that date has now been set for March 3rd. In the meantime, Sony have unveiled a new 30 second teaser which asks viewers a familiar question...

The teaser itself is a little underwhelming; the tone is surprisingly serious, and it makes it seem like we're in for a dark reimagining rather than a fun reboot. Let's hope we're proved wrong when the full trailer hits next month.

Sony have also released a new official poster for the film. Check it out below...

Directed by Paul Feig and starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth, Ghostbusters opens in UK and US cinemas on July 15, 2016.
