Destiny: Xur weapons, gear, and location, June 3 - 5. Plan C!

Xur, Destiny’s weekend trader, jazz philosopher, and purveyor of the galaxy’s greatest knife-throwing act, is back. This week he’s in the Tower. Tower North, in particular, flicking peanuts at the Speaker and shouting about how Love Actually was shit.

What’s he selling though? Well…

ACD/0 Feedback Fence (Exotic Titan Gauntlets) - 13 Strange Coins
Graviton Forfeit (Exotic Hunter Helmet) - 13 Strange Coins
Alchemist’s Raiment (Exotic Warlock Chest Armour) - 13 Strange Coins
Legacy Chest Armour Engram - 29 Strange Coins
Plan C (Exotic Fusion Rifle) - 17 Strange Coins
Three of Coins - 7 Strange Coins
Glass Needle - 3 Strange Coins

It’s not a bad selection, with decent perks for all, though some of its most interesting facets aren’t initially obvious. The ACD/0 gauntlets have a handy little feature in that they’ll put out an area-of-effect damage burst around you whenever you take a melee hit. Great for clobbering thrall mobs, but obviously you have to get hit before it actually works. The Hunters’ Graviton Forfeit gives the ultra-shifty Shadestep ability – basically a teleport dash that turns you into unshootable bastard-mist upon activation – for free, allowing you to equip that skill and the stealth-boosting, speed-increasing, radar-enhancing, target-marking Keen Scout, making you an absolute horror-bag in the Crucible.

But here’s where we get to the hidden gem. Because while the Warlock’s Alchemist’s Raiment looks like a load of rancid bum, with the right Stormcaller builds, you can actually get a huge amount out of it. You’ll need specific equipment, and you’ll have to have your skill tree tuned up in just the right ways, but get it right and you can give your super a massive boost, or alternatively, piss grenades and melee, turning into the kind of walking electropocalypse that makes Thor look like a leaking AAA battery.

As for guns, Plan C remains a great choice, with good range, impact and stability. Couple in an incredibly fast charge rate on weapon-switch, and it makes a really good, entirely dependable secondary weapon for flicking to in emergencies.

As ever, Xur will be in the Tower until 10am UK / 2am PT on Sunday, at which point he'll vanish for another week.
