Crackdown 3 (and Terry Crews) cordially invites you to step up your boom on November 7

When former linebacker and sometime Old Spice Man Terry Crews asks you to do something, it’s probably wise to do it - and if you’re not exactly sure how to ‘step up your boom’, it goes something like this: throwing cars instead of grenades and dropping buildings instead of bombs. Simple stuff if you're an agency supersoldier.

Crews showed up at the Microsoft conference as Commander Jaxon, starring in a muscular new trailer for Crackdown 3 - a crucial first party title for Xbox One and Windows 10 which has been AWOL since March 2016. The good news is that if you’ve ever played a Crackdown game before, this is business as usual in all the best ways - cool blue cities, monstrous explosions, and that glorious, arcing jump that defines the series.

Best of all, we finally have a release date of November 7. That means Sumo Digital’s open world destruct ‘em up will be a Play Anywhere launch title for Xbox One X, and will play in 4K Ultra HD - perfect for seeing every individual brick from the buildings you flatten.

The trailer didn’t tell us much more that that, but expect more information tomorrow at Xbox Daily: Live @ E3, at Monday 3PM PDT/6PM EDT.
