Woah, woah Power Rangers. Have you heard of the expression ‘Go big or go home?’ Well, Power Rangers producer Haim Saban has no intention of going home anytime soon – he has a plan for five Power Rangers sequels. No, that’s not a typo.
Speaking to Variety, Power Rangers head honcho (and founder of Saban Entertainment) Haim Saban stated. “We already have a six-movie story arc.”
Whether the Rangers are looking to be part of an MCU-style connected universe is anyone’s guess but, with nearly 25 years of Rangers lore under their belts, there’s a lot that can be mined past and present from the adventures of the teens with attitude.
Saban is very much laying the groundwork for the franchise’s future with the first movie, saying, “We also are developing likable characters. They don’t take themselves too seriously, in terms of how they relate. I wanted the movie to say that losers or weirdos, by coming together, can realize the importance of the responsibility on their shoulders.”
So, are you ready for six (count ‘em, six) Power Rangers movies?
Directed by Dean Israelite and starring Naomi Scott, Dacre Montgomery, RJ Cyler, Ludi Lin, and Elizabeth Banks, the Power Rangers movie will be released in UK and US cinemas on March 24, 2017.

I'm the Senior Entertainment Writer here at GamesRadar+, focusing on news, features, and interviews with some of the biggest names in film and TV. On-site, you'll find me marveling at Marvel and providing analysis and room temperature takes on the newest films, Star Wars and, of course, anime. Outside of GR, I love getting lost in a good 100-hour JRPG, Warzone, and kicking back on the (virtual) field with Football Manager. My work has also been featured in OPM, FourFourTwo, and Game Revolution.
