The Japanese PM dressed as Mario and popped out a pipe to launch the 2020 Olympics

Rio's done and the next Olympics will be in Japan, something the country celebrated with a video focusing on its strengths: games and Hello Kitty. 

To round it all off the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe turned into Mario and popped out a pipe at the closing ceremonies, because why not? 

You can watch the full video below, with Abe popping up at the end to literally pass the ball to Japan. If that's what they're doing already, then just imagine what the opening ceremony's going to be like!
