The A to Z Of Studio Ghibli: T

To celebrate the release of Studio Ghibli ’s latest animation From Up On Poppy Hill we’re having a rummage through the Spirited Away studio’s magical history

T is for Totoro

Totoro is the star of My Neighbour Totoro and is arguably one of the most identifiable characters in Ghibli’s canon. In the film, Totoro is invisible to everyone other than children, and takes residence in camphor trees. Taking pride and place as Ghibli’s logo, the character has become synonymous with the company. Much loved, Totoro has even found its way into other animations, notably an appearance in Toy Story 3 (below).
