Can life get any sweeter for graphic novel scribbler Frank Miller? He co-directs his own comic and sees it hoover up over $159 million at the box office and now they ask him back for Sin City 2. Jessica Alba in chaps on a daily basis… again, the poor chump.
“It’s chiefly taken from A Dame To Kill For,” Miller says of the progressing plans for Sin City part 2. “Inside that, we’re going to look at the story of what happens to Nancy and it’s full of surprises; she’ll surprise you with how she changes.”
With a story in the works, Frank says that he and fellow helmer Robert Rodriguez will soon be putting the production together.
“Robert and I are putting the script together right now. I just sent him a new draft that I think, structurally, is the movie. It’s moving along well and we’re close to casting.”
The good news for Sin fans is that Miller and The Rod want to get started asap. “It could be as early as June, I don’t know. That really depends on production, Robert’s schedule and how soon we can get it all ready.”
Frank obviously can’t wait to get behind the lens again: “Yes. Eager, ready and drooling.” Has Sin City given him the juice to adapt any more of his work and take on megaphone duties?
“There are other things but I’ve learned not to talk about them until your name is on the marquee – but there are two that we’re discussing right now.”
